It's been a long day, so I'll keep this brief. Dust is clearing on the ground, and this is what we know:

1. 2 of the 3 large drones dispatched for the Sterilisation event has been shot down, along with numerous patrol drones. Instead of the total eradication of Xitang, it's only been partially leveled. This is a win.

2. There were no fatalities, although we had 90 injured. I want to commend our ground teams (Ground Forces, Espionage, volunteers) for your efficiency. The Veiled are being taken to and integrated into surrounding Pres Cities courtesy of Recruitment agents stationed in the area.

3. We have commandeered an additional freight plane which will be vital in future relocation efforts.

We still do not know what triggered this, but I want to stress how big of a win this is. We prevented a devastating loss. We've been a nuisance to the Architects, but this changes things.

Take this win. Celebrate it. And then get ready to double down. We're showing them we're a major player, and I can't imagine them taking this lying down.

You were with them from the start.

I was asked to get the expected casualties for the VTP as close to zero as possible. Adrián says this is the only path to improvements on his end. So yes, I'm inclined to give him whatever he wants.

Adrián asked for human sacrifices, and you're going to find them for him.

Probabilistically speaking, yes.

You're being hyperbolic. No one is asking for sacrifices.

So all of your volunteers will live and be completely unharmed by your experiments?

They have higher probabilities of it than being deployed out on missions.

You're talking about soldiers and civilians.

We've lost more people - apologies, soldiers and civilians - from botched missions, poorly vetted recruits, and aliens tossing destructive beams. We've lost even more from desperate back alley attempts to remove implants because the possibility of being found and Veiled again was too great. We lose people every day from our actions and inactions. We deployed the Neuroclast in Lammu after Cuq without knowing whether the VTP would even work.

What is it about this exactly that has your back up? Is it the word experiment?

It's sending people I convinced to join us into your laboratory. I promised them a better life. Many of them are hoping their still Veiled family can be saved.

Go ask your own, your scientists, if you think it's such a worthy cause. Leave us out of it.

You wouldn't be sending anyone. You can't make that decision for them. They would be making that choice, fully cognizant of the risks.

And Science would of course have the opportunity to volunteer as long as they have an implant and aren't TIF.
