I'm deeply sorry that he prevents you from being sneaky while I sleep but maybe if you ask nicely, he'll vacate the room one evening. On the plus side, imagining you committing knitting related crimes is very funny to me personally.

I don’t want to displace him from his room. I’m just airing my grievances that it’s not as easy as when you didn’t have a roommate. They’re the only kind of crime I’ll commit, crime for a good cause.
