Stop me if you've heard the news already.

At the mid-month mark, I have a small team* flying down to the Kamchatka Peninsula to reclaim the deserted submarine base town of Bechevinka. The estimated capacity would be just shy of 900, above and below ground combined, if all the buildings are deemed viable by our resident architect. There've been long-time rumors of submarines being left down there after the Cold War ended, and I'm hoping that holds true. We could use more active vessels.

Wish them happy hunting.

Recommendations for getting through thick metal bunker doors? Would a blowtorch get through the locking mechanisms?

With all of my chest, it is my sacred duty as mission lead to advise the following things:

• Do not pet the sea lions. If you go in the water, be careful of any rusted wreckage. We don't have any tetanus shots on board.
  
• If it's brown, lay down.
  
• Listen to Dom. He'll be your lead on the ground.
  
• Dom, listen to Nadine or Ishaan is going to push me off the ship.

Well, it's never too late for gifts, for starters, but I feel like I owe you one anyway. I have yet to recover from the jumper.

I will bundle up. Layers and as many gloves as I can fit on my hands. Toes and fingers will remain in tact.

I do know you mean that, but it's still the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me so I feel duty bound to repay it in some way.
