Maryle and I were able to pull data from the CPU delivered by Cal and Eva.

The Sterilization Event was triggered by a significant group of people in Xitang being partially severed from the veil. 20 self-reports were evaluated by HDroids, which identified a specific defect in the neural implants. HDroids fixed the imperfections and relinked to the Veil. However, anti-Architect graffiti began to pop up around the city, indicating more people had defective implants other than the 20 self-reports.

Mass scans revealed that the entire city had spontaneously partially severed. This triggered three protocols:

1. The sterlization protocol in Xitang. We disrupted this.
   
2. Mandatory inspection check by HDroids for anyone with chips that were implanted in 2005 is currently ongoing.
   
3. A relocation effort of all defective implants to Sighisoara, Romania by Feb 28. This is for another sterilization protocol.

Issues

1. Do any Dislinked agents have a chip that was implanted in 2005? If so, they are going to end up being noticed as not on the radar.
   
2. How to deal with Sighisoara, Romania?

Do we fully sever the evacuees, or relink them? Being in a prolonged partial state can trigger catastrophic neural regression. Relinking them and re-integrating them into other pres cities would keep them protected.

How do we deal with our agents who had chips in 2005?

All right. I'm not in a placating mood, so let's get into the bare bones of the plan, shall we?

1. All agents who were implanted in 2005 will have fake deaths registered by Espionage. There are a total of 51 agents that we have concerns about. Bishop will personally take care of agents that are unknown in general (9 total), while we are tapping Batteaux, Moreau, and Lim to coordinate. Batteaux, you have the Americas (20). Moreau, EMEA (16). Lim, APAC (6). Lists will be provided to you.

2. Relocated civilians. We have no option but to reVeil them as we don't have the resources available to intercept and relocate an untold number of people. The Hdroids will do most of the work here: our concern is the ones being moved to Sighisoara. Bishop's eyes on the ground tell us that they're moving out the Veiled civilians in Sighisoara, so this is a very targeted SP.

Our current thought is to embed Medani and Aldana there to see if they can relink. Hdroids follow protocols, not creative lines of thought. I am open to hearing thoughts on this.

Bone has also brought up the idea of modifying the code that Batteaux phished to see if we can create a false read. I'm the brawn, not the brain, so brains, tell me if this is feasible.

3. Finotti and Schade, we'll deploy you to the ground on the 25th to begin creating evacuation paths for those we cannot reconnect. Squadron 1 and Squadron 3, get ready to shoot some drones out of the air on the 28th.

It will likely astonish no one who knows me well that I have devoted an indecent amount of thought to the subject of my own demise. Not the pedestrian variety, with hospital fluorescents and all that, but deaths with real composition. A sense of occasion, if you will. After all, if I must leave the stage, I ought to do so on a cue. Here are some favorites:

POISONED AT A DIPLOMATIC RECEPTION. I lift the glass, offer a line so charming it earns a ripple of polite laughter, and only then does the realization bloom behind my eyes. The hand to the throat is not frantic but incredulous — betrayal is so gauche, you see. Someone screams as I elegantly collapse to the floor. A countess, perhaps?

BALCONY COLLAPSE. I'm smoking, naturally, because all good confrontations deserve atmosphere. I'm also winning this phone argument with my lover, because of course I am. Just as I arrive at the sentence that will end the dispute forever, the railing gives way. My last word is listen. My lover i forever haunted by this conversation.

THEATRICAL MISHAP. I return to the stage — to some earnest New England company convinced they deserve me. They cast me as Hamlet despite my age, but who am I to protest? (If it worked for Kenneth Branagh, &c.) I deliver the Act III soliloquy with such devastating command, only for a faulty trap door mishap to occur. Reviews describe the performance as unforgettable.

ELEVATOR FAILURE. Ascending toward something important, or at least somewhere expensive. I murmur, perhaps to a companion, perhaps to the universe, "I've finally made it to the top." It's punctuated by a fatal creak and a snap. We do love irony.

HEROIC INTERVENTION. Stop me if you've heard this one before: a child in the street, a car moving too fast, time slows to a standstill. I cross the distance with cinematic precision and gather the child up in my arms, shielding them from the impact. The city renames the intersection after me, and the grateful mother names her next child Nikola.
