Valentine's Day

Ah, Valentine's day. Le jour de l'amour (that's the day of love for those who wrongly don't speak French). The day is marked on the ground with gifts and parties and (staid) declarations of undying love, but up in the stratosphere, it's celebrated in the library with a few games and a kissing booth. The humble activities have been curated by our hosts LIA and MAV! Come enjoy the offerings, take a chance, and maybe get a kiss (or two).

Kissing Booth!

The main attraction of the day is, of course, Dislinked's very own Kissing Booth! Staffed by volunteers DOSS, HACHE, IRINA, JAMIE, LIA, MAV, NIM, and PHILIP. In order to participate, they're requiring a donation of something interesting. Money is not accepted and each donation is met with a little tube of chapstick.

You can choose who you'd like to kiss, though the volunteer reserves the right to decline. Or, if you're feeling spicy, you can spin the wheel.

Scavenger Hunt!

Fun for the whole family, LIA and MAV have put together a fun scavenger hunt for you partake in! Playing is easy - all you have to do is roll a d10 to see how many things you find! Whoever finds the most wins a mini charcuterie board with dried cherries, almonds, strawberries, grapes, brie, gouda, prosciutto, and salami.

Ring Toss!

Who says ring toss is just for carnivals? Another easy peasy game to play, and family friendly to boot! Grab a pipecleaner heart and roll a d4 to see what color your heart captures. You win whatever drink is in the bottle!

❤ 1 = The Rose Quartz bottle, which contains Rainbow Sherbet Punch
❤ 2 = The Blush bottle, which contains a Strawberry Milkshake
❤ 3 = The Red Wine bottle, which contains Strawberry Lemonade
❤ 4 = The Cardinal bottle, which contains a Shirley Temple

Prize Wheel!

In a corner, a spinning wheel is set up. To play, you just have to spin the wheel! But be careful: not everything is a prize, and you might end up with a dare* instead.

*Kids are, of course, exempt from dares and may spin until they get a(n acceptable) prize (unless they want to do the dare, which is okay by the hosts)

Séarlait is here with a small collection of items in case people need something to donate for their kisses. She will give you something out of the kindness of her heart/in exchange for a future favour/in exchange for the chapstick you'll get post kiss (one of these is a lie).

Griff is here and his vibe is nervous golden retriever. But he's cheerful and happy to chat! If he keeps glancing at the kissing booth, no he isn't. Don't perceive that.

Archie came by and was his friendly self. He got a little nervous about the kissing booth, but gravitated towards others to talk to.

Fry appeared for a brief stint. They had a few things to donate for a kiss or two.

Jamie’s here to participate in the kissing booth. Probably takes a look at the other activities, but once his time in the booth is over he sneaks out. He’s in a good mood and not at all concerned about contracting an illness from kissing :)

She’s here because she wanted to find a book to read and apparently had selective amnesia about the kissing booth. BUT since she’s here, she participates in everything but the smoochin

Sefi is here to attempt to be normal and largely fail. She's just wearing one of her normal pair of work overalls, but she does have a festive silk scarf tied into her hair instead of her usual cotton bandana.

Lola is happy for any event that pushes the ship's populace away from American puritanism. She was in a good mood!

This is not Fox's favorite holiday for (Stupid) Reasons but he is there to support his pals!

Apollo is here to be social and participate in a party. TBD if he will be kissing anybody but he is going to get weirdly competitive about games and activities.

In light of the flirty Valentine Apollo thinks he received from Fox he will definitely be getting the fuckboy “hey what’s up nod” from him today and I apologize for that

Fox looked very confused for a moment but returned the nod! And smiled! And told Apollo he was doing a good job with the scavenger hunt. Is this the end of their (one-sided) rivalry?

He turns around, leaves, and does not return. Maybe not ever.

Sloane kinda pretends like she doesn't know this is going on today, but she does. She kinda pretends like she isn't watching the happenings from her sad little depressing book corner of the library, but that also is not true. She drops a little heart bead she found on the floor somewhere near the kissing booth as a token as tribute, but kisses no one.
