While I know there are many more pressing matters at hand, there's been a distinct problem I've noticed onboard in the most recent karaoke nights.  I won’t name names, but I have noticed a lack of rhythm that can be rectified with a little practice. Luckily, I am here to help, and there is no singing required.

This Friday, I'll be hosting a group salsa class in the community room.   You don't need to have danced before; all prior skills you need are the ability to count to eight and how to stand up straight.

All are welcome, though anyone who is judgmental towards others just learning will be asked to leave.  I don't have patience for that, and it's supposed to be fun.

See you Friday at seven.  Wear comfortable shoes.

That insufferable upstart — a model, no less, with his cushy little stint on All My Children — beat me out for that ill-advised adaptation of Dorian Gray. Me! He's the very picture of a bland and square-jawed American leading man, and yet he was their choice for Dorian. I don't care that the film was dreadful! It's the principle of it. Then he went on to collect plum role after plum role — a romantic comedy or two, that wretched little casino series — and I ask you, what explanation is left to us? Either his agent possessed something magnificently compromising on every casting director in the industry, or the man struck a compact with the devil himself. I refuse to believe those roles were awarded on the strength of his acting.

Uhm well I think he got all those things because he's incredibly tall and handsome...

Hamlet was one of them. The others were:
  • Valmont, Dangerous Liaisons
  • Erik, Phantom of the Opera
  • Iago, Othello

I didn't know that you can sing! You'd be soooo good in Phantom.

When you play the Phantom of the Opera do they let you pick WHICH SIDE of your face gets covered with the mask?? OR is it always the same side? What if the mask is on your good side?

I believe the mask is always on the right. It was originally supposed to be a full mask, though.
