While I know there are many more pressing matters at hand, there's been a distinct problem I've noticed onboard in the most recent karaoke nights. I won’t name names, but I have noticed a lack of rhythm that can be rectified with a little practice. Luckily, I am here to help, and there is no singing required.

This Friday, I'll be hosting a group salsa class in the community room. You don't need to have danced before; all prior skills you need are the ability to count to eight and how to stand up straight.

All are welcome, though anyone who is judgmental towards others just learning will be asked to leave. I don't have patience for that, and it's supposed to be fun.

See you Friday at seven. Wear comfortable shoes.

ah, it shouldn't be that bad. the usual risks of going down to the ground. inclement weather. structural damage.

are you worried at all?

i'm worried everyone's going to be disappointed when we don't actually see any interesting wildlife.

you can't have a pessimistic outlook about it. you have to go in expecting to encounter [...] what, bears? a lynx?

everyone's very excited about the possibility of bears but i think our best shot is sea lions. maybe a sea eagle if we're really lucky.

and you learned about all this as a boy scout?

some of it. [...] i learned a lot about that kind of thing when i was veiled, actually.

sort of. [...] i spent a lot of time on wikipedia. closest thing i really had to a hobby.

you never went out to any bars or anything?

no, i did sometimes. but i was a lot more comfortable with being alone.

i can understand that, a little. [...] i was never alone, i didn't like it even while veiled. i was always doing something. they made me go to school for a while — remedial learning — and then it was parties and clubs and dancing ("dancing") and relationships and non-stop "fun."

it was a lot of animal facts, but i also liked weird history. [...] one time a molasses factory exploded in boston and flooded the entire city.

the dancing in the sims 2 is better than veiled dancing.

i normally don't indulge in such things, but it was right there. tell me another fact.

aren't bears toxic in general? or am i misremembering.

you can eat them if you have to. i wouldn't recommend trying it.

maybe. i don't know much about surviving in the jungle. [...] i know it's egocentric of me but sometimes i worry about how the rest of our people are getting along now that i'm gone.

that's why i said somebody like you. a handsome nerd with an aptitude for the jungle.

i don't think that's egocentric at all. i think it's only natural.
