Karaoke Time!

Bishop has pulled out his coveted karaoke machine to make sure that the vibe onboard the Mnemosyne stays high. He has curated a list of Appropriate Songs (sorry, folx, but Don't Stop Believing is still banned), but if it's not on his list, chances are he can scroung it up.

And if he can't? Well, that's what acapella is for!

For those who are a little too shy to sing in front of everyone, don't worry, there's something here for you, too! A stack of puzzles & boardgames has been set out for everyone's entertainment, including:

The Secret Club

For those of you in Bishop's very good graces, he has set up a small area in the library for video games. The collection is very minimal, but systems include: N64, PS, PS2, Gamecube, and the Wii.

To facilitate group play, he has only pulled out racing and fighting games. Oh, and Mario Party. Can't forget that.

What did you sing? Did you do good?

mav and her best bossman perform you spin me round. she has a pretty steady voice and can keep in key, but she's got a karaoke voice, not a she's gonna win apocalypse idol voice. she's a mezzo-soprano which means she can hit those higher notes 😎 she does a good performance in terms of energy and ✨presence✨

Carl showed more skill in the goofy dance move department than in the singing. Though he did sing, it had more of a character vibe than actual skill. Carl did look like he was having a good time.

Maryle has a surprisingly nice singing voice, which she'll subject everyone to multiple times during the evening. Her first song is Teenage Dirtbag, and she gives a very enthusiastic performance.

Though she sings quite a few times during the night, Maryle caps off the evening with Fly Me to the Moon. Even though she's tipsy, she gives a very soulful rendition.

Dom's barely been back a week, he's sober, and you're all still getting Torn by Natalie Imbruglia. While he has a lovely voice, it's up to you if you can forgive the visuals.

Blink 182 - I Miss You

Ara did okay (14) because she's competitive and doesn't want to show any signs of weakness but she is not like a natural talent or anything.

idk there was singing and there were dance moves that casper and cal practiced one singular time

he's a 9 for singing and 7 for dancing so the singing was mid and the dancing was worse!

Yes, hello, Remy can't sing and she won't dance, nor will she emote, but she WILL shout-sing Celebrity Skin by Hole into the mic before she walks off stage. It's a vibe.

jax's singing register is a touch lower and huskier than his speaking voice, and in a Past Life he could've gone on the road with that voice, but here we are, friends. he doesn't have lenny's gravitas, but he performs are you gonna go my way with respectable rockstar gravitas. yes, he does briefly air guitar in the musical interlude, thank you for asking.

on a good day, irina is confident in most things, but even after shots, she looks wildly uncomfortable up in front of everyone before she and casper perform boulevard of broken dreams. irina's voice is kind of soft, but they did practice, so she is Okay. she's definitely more comfortable toward the end, and will (gasp) smile.

Luke LOVES this. When Nim does his thing, Luke throws his hands up and screams like a middle schooler at their first One Direction concert. Did One Direction happen in this timeline? I'm saying no.

Jamie does one solo song before duetting with anyone. He sings Mr. Brightside. Jamie has a great voice, not something he ever talks about and brings good energy to karaoke!

Naturally, Mav had to honor Canadian legend Celine Dion, and both girls were committed to the performance. Lots of emoting and dramatic gestures. Delilah rolled a 19 so she actually sounds amazing, thank you. Her partner Mav gave more to the gestures than the singing because no one can outsing Celine, but her soul was in it to win it.

Delilah is just as committed to Performing Carrie Underwood (she is sad she doesn't have a bat to swing, alas). Casper too is all in on the singing even if the singing isn't amazing. They are clearly having a great time and that is the important part!

Sefi makes a point of mentioning that ABBA is from Sweden into the microphone after the song ends because the idea that anyone on the ship might think they're Dutch has been ethering her for days.

Bit of a dark horse pick on Luke's part, but he's enthusiastic and oh-so-serious belting out "Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole bunch of sonnets" and "Michael J. Fox was Alex P. Keaton" into the karaoke mic. He even attempts to lift Delilah and twirl her around a bit, if she's amenable.
